By way of a quick introduction, my name is Thomas Prendergast, I would like to introduce you to something new; and briefly explain to you how it came about. Living, coping, and just surviving in this increasingly drug-congested world is in itself enough of a challenge. As pioneers of our own inner space and citizens of the underworld we really need to interact with each other more and accentuate the positives we all have hidden within ourselves.

As an active attendee of the Monkey - based at the Waterloo project in Cheetham Hill' I want to be part of building up the new user involvement section of the magazine. Up to now Monkey has done a wonderful job of highlighting specific issues relevant to the users. Drug users both past and present come from a diverse but interconnected population, now it is up to us to realise this great opportunity that we have been given, & take control of our contribution side of the publication. We must be represented when people are discussing new policies that directly affect everyone in society who dares to be different.

I am currently involved in several musical projects, including a modular training course at the Technics DJ Academy - a subsidiary of The School of Sound Recording on Tariff St., Manchester. The course covers fundamentals of marketing and design, also beat matching, scratching and other advanced DJ skills such as remixing and sampling. As you may already be aware, the technics name is synonymous with the world of turntableism , in fact Radio Ones Judge Jules confirms the credibility of this Academy. In the future this introduction may lead me on to a further more advanced course in Audio Engineering Techniques and Technology. I also hope to be writing music reviews for this magazine.

I want to work towards bringing Monkey's readership a solid, logical, intelligent and honest review of current and upcoming bands. Rather than using conventional techniques it's great to be able to surf to zoopy wobble sites, tune out the world and obtain mega info from this new medium. In fact I find myself listening to today's music more and more - if not for the somewhat vague metaphorical and metaphysical lyrics, then for the captivating vocals.

As a recovering addict I think it would be phenomenal for others to take this chance to start to cross their own borders and write their own soundbites. If you like to ponder unbiased opinions, then it's up to you to help Monkey represent us. We have been given a unique and creative channel to express ourselves.

StarCitiezens love universal inspirations, fluent funki-traversals, bitchin’terpretations, & soothing minimalist electronic dabblings. Now get on this - you brainiac-fried musicologists.

Not since da heavy bass groove, wid block rockin beats - has muzo's toneburst vibeflow sounded so fresh. Delicately balanced studies in equational solitude, meditative melodies of airheart quality. Strangely poetic, emotionally intense, therapeutic sounds, washing you into the sea of wellness.
